5 Sustainable Brands To Get You Excited For Spring

I have been excited for Spring since January 1st, and we are still not there, but I can dream! This year it just feels different. I am usually a Fall fan, but Spring feels EXTRA full of hope, renewal, excitement, especially this year.

I figure that if I am this excited for Spring, you may be too.

Let’s get right to the point; below are FIVE sustainable brands that I am so excited about for Spring. From fresh new brands, making their debut this year, to those sustainable superstar designers who have been around for awhile, but still make Spring exciting every year. They are all worthy of the investment, and to receive are metaphorical votes for a more sustainable future of fashion.

  1. The Waight

I personally can not WAIT, but I will, for this line of sustainable and elevated sweatshirts and sweatpants to start shipping out orders. With much more working from home, I’ve been on the hunt for a pair of sweatpants that have great style and uphold my same values regarding sustainability. So, The Waight is literally a dream come true.

The Waight is a slow fashion brand that believes you don’t have to choose between honoring the planet and having great style. They have an incredibly thoughtful pre-order business model and adhere to small batch production, which creates less waste.

They are also 100% U.S. based from start to finish.

At THE WAIGHT, they believe good things are worth waiting for. I agree.

The Waight is taking Pre-orders now!

Founded in 2018, by three sisters, three women of color, they “want to write the narrative of what an ethical brand truly is, and how meaningful our practices as a small business can be to our community.”

Label By Three garments are designed & handmade in Phoenix, Arizona with a focus on minimalism, sustainability, & versatility…and each piece is truly beautiful.

Their shirt dresses and skirts make it difficult to pick a favorite, but The Cygnus Dress, pictured above, is another level of versatile and lovely. I can envision it on so many different types of bodies.

Just incredible.

3. Symbology

If you have been educating yourself on sustainable fashion brands over the last few years, then you have definitely come across Symbology. They “merge artisanal fabric techniques with fashion forward designs that give customers a one-of-a-kind item that connects women in a global community”.

Founder, Marissa, believes that “fashion is a platform to empower women, preserve handmade crafts, and provide sustained employment and fair wages to marginalized artisans. Each piece is handcrafted by women artisans in developing countries using traditional fabric techniques like block printing, tie dye and embroidery.”

Their pieces are a dream and a worthy investment. THIS personal stylist highly recommends one of the beautiful wrap dresses as your next go to occasion piece.

Swoon worthy, dreamy, feminine. These diaphanous dresses are giving me the Spring feelings in a major way.

“Launching April 1st: Twin sisters with a dream of creating a sustainable and eco-friendly dress line of their own are launching Golden Girl, a collection of feminine, comfortable dresses to live and dream in. After their recent adventures in the south, surrounded by real life scenes from The Notebook and creative women living their passion, Megan and Laura knew it was their time to bring some color and light to women who share the same ethical focus for our planet. Golden Girl has taken vintage silhouettes and details that evoke femininity, and recreated them in ways that are comfortable enough to wear everyday. Let’s join their initiative in “rethinking the way we dress."

I can not wait to see all of you frolicking in these flirty frocks.

5. Zindagi

Zindagi is inspired by ‘culture, tradition, and travel’, and you can see it in every piece, from jewelry to blouses. Pieces are made ethically in small batches and materials are sourced from small, family-owned businesses. It is apparent that Zindagi truly values heir artisans for not only their talents, but also as individuals, and considers them to be family.

I am drooling over the Jaspreet Blouse in Marigold, pictured above, but truly am so inspired by all the pieces across their collection. Truly beautiful, statement, investment worthy pieces.

Ok, after reading, are you similar to me and already determining how you can fit pieces from these collections in to your budget?

Although, I am staring out the window at a cold, dark, wintry, day, I am dreaming of wearing all these pieces when the Sun comes back out and Spring unfolds.

If you want to learn more of how you can invest in a piece from one of these designers AND make it work in your wardrobe, send me an email. Let’s make sure you have the tools you need to style yourself in one of the gems above.

All the Best,

M.F.F.
